The Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships (CURF) is a new office that fully supports all services, programs, resources, etc. formerly offered by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Office of Fellowships.

From history to visual art to mechanical engineering, KU students in majors across campus can participate in undergraduate research and creative projects. So, think about what your passion is, and claim your curiosity!
We are dedicated to guiding students through the process of applying for external fellowships/scholarships. Opportunities are available for all majors, including several for those interested in public service, STEM research, study abroad, critical language acquisition, and graduate school.

In an effort to provide research opportunities to more students, five faculty members will be working with the Center for Undergraduate Research this fall to redesign portions of their courses to include a larger research or creative component.
Tue, 06/25/2024Audrey Rips-Goodwin, an Overland Park senior in chemistry and mathematics, is the University of Kansas’ 2024 Astronaut Scholar — an award of up to $15,000. Rips-Goodwin was also named an Astronaut Scholar in 2023.
